Privacy Policy

At TaleBlooms, your privacy isn’t just a policy — it’s how the tool was built from day one. We never ask for your name, email, or any personal information. You don’t create an account, and you never have to log in. The names you type into the generator stay inside your own browser. They are not transmitted to our server, stored in a database, or seen by anyone else.

This policy explains what data we do (and don’t) collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to the entire TaleBlooms website, accessible at taleblooms.com.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

We do not collect any personally identifiable information. No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses are ever requested, stored, or shared. There is no registration form, no comment section that stores data, and no newsletter sign‑up.

Non‑Personal Information (Server Logs)

Our web server may automatically log certain technical details to help keep the site running smoothly. These logs can include:

  • IP address (anonymised wherever possible)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Date and time of visit
  • Referring URL
  • Pages visited

This information is standard for almost every website. It helps us spot errors, protect the site from malicious activity, and understand general traffic trends. None of it identifies you personally, and we never combine it with anything that could.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the site – which pages are popular, how long people stay, and where they come from. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information.

The data collected by Google Analytics includes:

Information You Generate

The core function of TaleBlooms is to turn a name you type into decorative Unicode text. This process happens entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. The text you enter is never sent to our server. We cannot see what you type, copy, or save. If you close the browser tab, the information is gone – we have no copy of it.

2. Local Storage and Favourites

TaleBlooms gives you the option to save styled names as favourites. When you tap the heart icon, that favourite is stored in your browser’s local storage – a small data file that stays on your device and is never uploaded to us.

  • We cannot access your local storage.
  • We cannot see which names you have saved.
  • Favourites remain only on the device and browser you used to save them.
  • If you clear your browser data or use a different device, those favourites will not be available.

Local storage is entirely under your control. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.

3. Cookies

Strictly Necessary Cookies (Wordfence)

We use a security plugin called Wordfence to protect the site from malicious attacks and unauthorised access. Wordfence may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies to help it identify real visitors versus bots, and to remember your status if you visit the WordPress admin area (though ordinary visitors won’t trigger admin‑related cookies).

These cookies are essential for the site to function securely. They do not track your activity across other websites. By using TaleBlooms, you agree to these necessary cookies.

Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)

As described above, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site traffic and user behaviour. These cookies collect anonymised information and are not essential for the tool to work. You can block them through your browser settings or opt out using the Google Analytics Opt‑out Browser Add‑on.

Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)

To keep TaleBlooms free, we display advertisements through Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads that are more relevant to you.

  • Third‑party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this site or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing activity.

We have no access to or control over these third‑party cookies. Their use is governed by the privacy policies of the respective companies.

Managing Cookies

If you disable cookies, the TaleBlooms tool will still work normally. You may see ads that are less relevant to you.

4. Plugins That Do Not Collect Visitor Data

Rank Math SEO

We use Rank Math SEO to help optimise the website for search engines. Rank Math does not set cookies on your browser, does not collect any personal information from visitors, and does not track individual user behaviour. It is purely an administrative tool that helps us structure content for search engines.

5. How We Use Information

Since we collect virtually no personal information, there is very little to use. The limited technical data from server logs and Google Analytics is used only for:

  • Monitoring site performance and uptime
  • Diagnosing technical problems
  • Protecting against malicious traffic, bots, and abuse (via Wordfence)
  • Compiling broad, anonymous usage statistics (e.g., number of visitors per month)
  • Understanding which styles and pages are most helpful to visitors

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Third‑Party Services

Advertising Partners

As mentioned, we may display ads through networks such as Google AdSense. These services are independent from TaleBlooms and have their own privacy policies.

Our site may link to other websites for reference or convenience (for example, to the Google Ads Settings page). Once you leave TaleBlooms, we have no control over the content or privacy practices of those external sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

7. Children’s Privacy

TaleBlooms is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because the tool does not require or accept any user data, there is no mechanism through which a child could provide personal information to us.

If we become aware that any information has been collected from a child under 13, we would delete it immediately – though, given how the site is built, this scenario is effectively impossible.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical precautions to protect the website and its users. These include:

  • Wordfence – a leading security plugin that blocks malicious traffic, scans for vulnerabilities, and prevents unauthorised access.
  • Regular updates – WordPress, plugins, and themes are kept up to date to patch known security issues.

Since no personal data is stored on our servers, the risk of a data breach affecting your privacy is extremely low. All name generation and favourite storage happen locally on your device.

9. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. Because TaleBlooms does not collect personal data, most of these rights are automatically respected. However, we still want you to know what they are.

Under laws like the GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California), and others, you generally have the right to:

  • Rectification – correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure – request deletion of your data
  • Restrict processing – limit how data is used
  • Data portability – receive your data in a structured format

If you contact us to exercise any of these rights, we will respond promptly. In almost all cases, the response will be that we hold no personal data about you, because we never collected any.

The TaleBlooms website is hosted on servers that may be located in a different country than yours. However, because no personal data is collected or stored, no international data transfer of personal information takes place. Anonymous technical logs and Google Analytics data may be processed on servers in various countries, but these are anonymised and comply with international data transfer frameworks.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the bottom will change. We encourage you to check this page periodically for any updates. Significant changes will be announced more prominently if we feel it’s necessary – but, given the nature of the site, any such change is unlikely to affect you personally.
